POLYPHONIC SONG COMMUNITY
Twenty years of the Big Polyphonic Song Fests - Celebrations!
The first two years it took place at "PALLAS" cinema-theatre and since 2002 it takes place at Petra Theatre. More groups participate every year with more young members among them. Every year, more and more of us sing together. Through those polyphonic gatherings, the polyphonic song builds step by step its community in the urban environment. This unofficial but living community is one of the most important fruits of the big journey of the voices, the Polyphonic Caravan. A community that is being constantly broadened, broadening its polyphonic character as well and constituting a common place for meeting, co-expression and co-creation. Something expressed during all seasons, in a search of new ways, even during the particularly difficult period of the pandemic.
The photo below comes from a Big Polyphonic Song Fest organized by "APIROS" (Polyphonic Caravan) at Petra Theatre. At the peak of the celebration, all of the participating groups sing together. In the way the polyphonic song itself wants us all.

"DIGITAL POLIS-PHONY" 2020
From November 2020 until March 2021, almost everyday, an online presentation of materials from the Polyphonic Song Archive takes place.
Videos, sounds, photos, songs, publications, studies - materials of all types will be published, in an attempt to widely share the Archive's materials.
